Santa Claus Man, Frottage & Carry Us Album's
Music is a true passion of mine, and whenever I get the opportunity to combine it with my love for design, I jump at the chance.
One of my recent projects was designing the album sleeve for Santa Claus Man, a 70's rock and pop-inspired Christmas single by local Leeds musician Dark Eyed J (Jonathan Wormald). The track was released alongside his former bandmates Stuart Place and Daniel Richards of the band Rollercoaster. It was a great opportunity to create a visual representation of the nostalgic, fun vibe of the single while also honoring the musical roots of the artists.
Another project I worked on was the album concept for Frottage, a piece inspired by the unique texture-based technique of the same name. This technique involves rubbing a crayon over paper placed on a textured surface to capture its impression. The album itself is influenced by 80's rock bands like Living Colour and Boston, with the design reflecting the bold, colourful energy of that era.
"Carry Us" is an album I had the pleasure of designing for musician James Spencer. The concept behind the album artwork draws inspiration from Spencer's English background and singer/songwriter roots. It was a wonderful experience to bring this project to life and visually represent James’ musical vision.
